Default Os .18tz .. Mod?

Anyone know if an os .18tz modified would produce lots of power? I'm not much of a racer and thinking of putting one in my xray nt1

I would go for it unless you can fit a bigger setup

I don't know if a .21 would fit without major modification to the chassis. That would be the best route

I believe the Picco P2-Max is a fit, this one comes in .21 and .26. If it is fast enough I doubt it, the gearing is ment for high RPM engines. The 18TZ is the best choice.

A mod .18TZ set a speed record for 1/10 scale onroad a few years ago for the ISC. Good choice for bashing should be really fast. I put one in a Kyosho V1RRR it was ballistic!! You may want to consider getting some 40mm wide rear tires for traction you can get them from rc market.

Does it have the rpms to match the gearing ? Or did you do anything to compensate for the tq?

Yes , it had the rpms to match the gearing. For traction and to compensate for the torque I put the 40mm wide rear tires on.
