Default Kyosho V-One R4 SP - Replacement?

I am very much missing the car in my signature

The current V-One R4 SP that came out in 2011, is that due to be replaced with an upgraded newer version anytime soon?

I very much wish to start building another but with my current budget it would take me 6-9 months to complete and the last thing I want is for something new to come out during that time.

When is the replacement due?

Thanks! Alex

The Xray does share the same clutch I believe so if you have a lot of clutches it could be an option.

Kyosho is almost certainly divesting (getting out) of nitro onroad 'racing'. They may continue hobby level cars, but they left 1/8th racing years ago, dropped broad support at 1/10th world events several championships ago and the final nail is separating from their Takaaki Shimo arrangement. They didn't have presence at the Japanese Nationals this year, so it's pretty much curtains.

Gotcha, OK.

Well hmmm, as you can see in my sig I don't even run a class engine, I do it just for hobby fun. I choose the Shimo edition because I loved the carbon/blue combo.

Perhaps I'll just pick up a new old stock Shimo edition then for a fire sale price since I'm not racing.

Thanks for the info!

Alex

Kyosho and on-road is dead. Keep your cars as they will be collectables.

Are you joking or are you serious? I can't imagine any of these cars ever being collectable or increasing in value
