Default 2017 and beyond ?

Anyone knows what Shepherd has plan for 2017 and beyond ? A new complete car or just parts upgrades/updates ?

Come on Shepherd you guys have to stay up to speed with now Mugen and the Infinity 1/8 Nitro On-Road Car. At lest here in the US but am still counting on Shepherd to do something before I start to look at another company.

The new "WC" kit just got released last month, this is the 2017 Kit.

The major improvements over the previous kit are:

-New smaller + lighter gearbox (uses 0.8 pitch now)
-Rear bulkheads changed (composite bushing for the ball bearings of the rear anti-roll bar mounts)
-Side belt tensioner changed
-Few other parts "re-defined"

Current World Champion

Current European Champion

Current ENS Champion

Not sure you would want to much more changed

Shepherd won the last 1/8 WC in 2015. They finished 1st and 4th.

The next WC is later this year in France.

Just thought i'd share this with guys out there as we never experience very high grip in the UK, so this maybe much more useful than a setup found at Euros/Worlds level grip.

This setup was used to win the BRCA national at Wombwell circuit, a very technical track.
Are you referring to the kit set up, or do you have your own base set up posted somewhere ? Cheers

Can someone tell me what the advantage of Shepherd switching to a 8mm two speed shaft opposed to the 6mm shaft? Seems to me it would just add weight right? I am currently running an upgraded titanium 6mm shaft and wondering if there would be any advantage to switching to the larger 8mm steel one and adding about 15 more grams.

Glutton, i dont know the weight of your titanium shaft. You have to remember that the 8mm shaft is hollow and the 2.gear garrier is lighter, so the 8mm shaft is 2 gram lighter if you inklude the gearbox.

Thanks for the info. So it actually creates a little bit of weight savings over the 6mm one then. I can't imagine they switched over to an 8mm shaft for the 2 gram savings tho, so maybe it's just to have a more durable part or something? Just figured there must be some good reason for the 8mm shaft because every car out these days uses one.
