Default Body Supports

What are the extra screws in the racing pictures on the exterior of the bodies (in addition to the standard clips)? Are they attached to some sort of supports or to the chassis itself?

Yep. Literally. In the lightweight bodies, they come with little plastic stiffeners that keep the body from flexing. Doesn't take much actually as they are really thin.

Yes attached to body side and top. In 1/8 they are used on all shells due to the high pressure placed on the shells at high speed.
