HPI Nitro RS4 3 Evo - rebuilding 2-speed
Hi,
I've got a little problem with rebuilding 2-speed transmission in my Evo, in terms of frontal cup joint installation.
HPI booklet (p.30 hpiracing.com/assets/documents/instruction_manuals/106597-nitro_3-glb-m-v1.pdf) shows that set screw (that one holding cup joint) has to be placed on flat pad of the gear shaft. If I mount it this way, cup joint doesn't fit correctly (there is a gap between cup and bearing, which is next element on the gear shaft). I can easily move cup joint further, but "flat pad" surface is too small - it's impossible to thighten set screw completly in that position.
I saw many photos, where set screw isn't screwed to the end (e.x. cdn.rcmart.com/images/hpi-racing_10217_6.jpg) - is it appropriate way of montage?
Thanks in advance for all replies
