Collari's main site is http://www.lcollari-innotech.com/ and the US importer is RC Imports at http://www.rcimports.net

Are you having problems with a Collari
engine? I have an XS12 slide
carb/pull-start on a NTC3, and can't
keep it running.

Get rid of the stock carbeurator and get one from a Mugen MT-12 or another Novarossi .12 and it will work like a champ. Trust me on this one, I have seen the difference and it is worth it.

Nope, I just rebuilt the one I am using and the other is a spare. I think you can pick one up for ~$40US. You may also find a used thrasher motor for cheap on ebay and then just rebuild the carb. I think the o-ring set cost me $13US and they are a royal beotch to change

man, I had been singing the praises of the collari's, I got 3 of them but newest one I can't keep running for nothing. Spent ALL day today on it, and no matter what I do the longest it will run is about 3.5 minutes, it the temp gets to around 220 it goes kaput. I'm going to try and swap a nova carb on it before this thing becomes a parts engine. It's friggin awesome when it's running though (5 port)!

I finally took a carb off one of my
HPI/Nova Rossi C-12s, and put it,
along with the new AE tank on this
Collari XS12.
BANG, one bump on the box, and it was
running. A little bit of adjustment
and this MF screams.
I sent 3 emails to California for
help, but, no response.
I asked BB about this last week, and
he said dump the stock carb, but, I
was kind of busy at work to try it.
PD, Shawn was asking me if I could try
a NR carb last week, but, I just got
around to swapping it out today. We
have a race today, and maybe my VoneR
will sit on my bench, this NTC3
FLYS
Hope this helps

I can't sleep so I'm headed out to the garage to swap carbs now. I just hope I don't get too excited and piss the neighbors off trying to test it out at 1:00 am

PD
I have been pissing & moaning all week
long about not being able to run this
NTC3 with the Collari. I went thru 3 batteries in my BIG starter box trying to get this #$@^%%$$ engine running. I have a MT-12
Turbo, but I can't run it today,
I just ripped off a carb from my HPI
NMT, and it was amazing. This yellow
headed engine SCREAMS
Get out to the garage ASAP

I know of four cases where the Collari(3, 5, 7 port... whatever) have worn out prematurely. One of them had wornout the piston pin hole and the rest were piston and liner fit. Seems as though that the aluminum used is not hard enough and all of the owners are experienced engine tuners.

Concerning the carb, most people just opt to dump the stock carb and use a Novarossi carb.

A lot of people at our club now call these engines "CALAMARI" LOL!

They were THE engines to get when they first came out but....................
