Mugen have made some new optional balls.
The front steering upright top balls.
And the shock balls.

I've always had the aluminum balls on my 5 but they were not made by mugen. What's the difference between the clutches of the 5 & 6 if any.?

Default Clutch

The clutch bell is a bit difeant to accomodate the 1mm wider pinion.
Also a new clutch spring.

Yes it will work you will just have to run the 6mm wide spur gear for the 5.
Or you can just buy the new clutch bell. Your choice.

I have been using the old spur gears on my 5 with a brace and I have not damaged a second speed spur at all. They wear out before they strip.
When I say old one I mean the old black ones.
So the new 7mm wide gear is over kill, but I'm happy with that...

It's interesting, or not, but the back end of the Serpent 977 is the same design.

I have no idea where it showed up first, cause I think maybe KM or someone did it as well, very clever though.
RC right now seems to be focused on looking at aspects of working on the cars, then refining it, as one company comes up with an idea, then several brands copy it, refining it as they go, end result is win win for making them easier to work on.

During a chat with some friends last Friday, many commented post the Qld champs, working on the cars at the end of a day, what used to take hours, now takes mins to do, which is probably a good thing for Nitro racing, where there always seems to be so much to do.

Is anyone using the kit stock 1,000,000 in the front diff, ? If so does the car lack turn in steering with the box setup? Is the box setup for high traction or low traction?

I've got 1,000,000 in mine and out of the box setup, I've got my steering rate turned down to 46% but in saying that I'm an 8th scale driver so i don't know very much about tourer and diffs but ill be doing a heap of testing this coming weekend

Thumbs up How much does it's balls weight?

I know you've all been wondering how much does the mtx6s balls weight.
Well..
All the steel balls that can be replaced with aluminum add up to 13.1 gr.
The aluminum balls add up to 4.71grs.
So if you want to save 8.39grs.

Do you have a part number for the aluminum balls ? I can't seem to find it.
Has anyone seen Ronald volkners setup? I can't find that either .
