Thumbs up Mtx6 built

A good way throught the build of my 6.
I think they have nailed it, all the stuff I wanted to change about the 5 and more has been done..
I noticed the chassis is thicker. Only 0.14 thicker 3.14mm which is closer to 1/8.
I know when I was looking to make my own chassis the best grade of al. I could get was 1/8" aircraft grade 7075. So maybe that's the stuff they're using...

Very happy so far.. I hear is even better to drive... Can't wait

Thumbs up Build nearly done

The build of the MTX6 is going very well. The one coment I would make is that the two top screws that hold the shock brace in place are abit short. Only 2 maybe three theads, I use a longer one and cut it down.
Generally speaking this going together very well.

There are a lot of parts the same but the major parts have been up graded.
Front and rear bulkheads chassis radio tray..
Second speed spur looks big enought to fit in a mrx...
I'm very happy with it.
I just weighted it and it's under weight right now.
I do run all that titanium stuff. I have not put the aluminium balls yet and that will bring it down too.

Thumbs up one piece engine mount

The one piece engine mount will fit.
But heres some stuff you might like to know
One piece weight 23 gr
Two piece 16gr

I have chosen to use the counter sunk screw with the Al washer on the underside of the engine mount this means no lateral adjustment.
I have found the Al washer lock up well and done mark the chassis.
But that does means I need to get the fly wheel shimmed spot on.
I prefer this because when set the mesh I know the engine is not floating in both directions.

Also the one piece has the engine mount screws in a slightly different position.
When using the one piece it will put the engine ~ 0.4mm to 0.5mm more to the left of the car this does help to get the gears to line up.
If using the two piece, you will need to shim out your fly wheel a bit more.
For a one piece I use 0.3mm shims
Two piece I use 0.8mm shims
This will give you much better gear mesh.

Iím fitting a Virtus.

Guys this is looking like a really good car, lets see what some club racing does for it, my prediction its going to be a much better club car. All the area the 5 had weakness the 6 has strength in spades.

It looks like Mugen has had a good hard look at the 1/10 tourer and put their best foot forward.
