Engine Suggestions
 

Okay I need opinions on which motor to go with for my new R40. I've had experience with OS (not enough punch for me) and NovaMega (LOVED IT) but now I'm looking for something thats in between because the Nova's run high in price and currently I'm on a budget. Any suggestions and input would be very helpfull. Also willing to buy a used motor preferably around the SoCal area. thanks!

u tried the os 12 tz 3port? not enuf punch u say?
my g4 car is a rocket with it.

You should take a look at the new O.S. TZ line. They're far from short on power, and just as good a motor as any previous O.S.

How about a OS .12TR?

Those are good motors too, I have one, just not nearly as fast as the TZ series...

I agree, the TZ can be found localy for under $200. If thats too much, try the HPI Nitro Star Pro 12R XS. You can find this for under $140 maybe even $120. My son has one in his bone stock R40 and it has plenty of pickup.
