Default *******MUGEN MRX6 COMING SOON**********

ĎA solid runí was how Robert Pietsch described his opening qualifier. The former World Champion said his MRX5, on which he is running a prototype chassis, the same as Takaaki Shimo & Atsushi Hara ran at the World Championships in Japan, was good but his engine was a little down on power.

What I heard is just a small changes...
Not a all-new platform...
Maybe MRX-5R is coming soon...

Pictures of the car he ran were posted and it looked like a standard-issue MRX5WC.

Exactly. The car was he used was the new WC version with the "high traction chassis".

I doubt we will see a new car this year but you never know. I would expect an updated MTX5 first.

There's an extra screw hole between the radio tray mount screw and the flywheel opening. Maybe to place weight there? There is also a slot in the chassis between the battery tray and the opening for the middle weight.

From RedRC:

From Mugen:

Something attached to the radio tray mount?

Hara's car from the WC also has the slot but Shimo's car did not have it:

It looks like a part from the X bracket. Maybe the screw for the handle bar? I was fitting a new body and normally I remove the handle bar but that is not that easy with the 5 with the receiver box in front of the screw...

The slot will add a lot of flex on the front.

Could be carbon stiffeners or just simple lexan pieces for more ground effect. It seems they are looking for more grip at the front of the car.

The MRX5 WC IS NOT FOR SALE AT AMAIN OR TOWER JUST LIKE THE XRAY AND I KNOW XRAY IS COMING WITH A NEW CAR.I THINK IT'S KIND OF UNDER HANDED OF MUGEN NOT TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THERE'S A NEW CAR COMING BUT AT LEAST THEY WAIT ABOUT EVERY THREE TO FIVE YEARS TO DROP A NEW CAR
