I recently got back into RC and this is the car I choose for casual racing at a track nearby.
The reason I pick this car up is the price...
It is a solid build car but I don't find many (any) people race with it.
Anyone out there want to share thoughts about this car?

So far here are my upgrades:
-Front and rear fiber disk brake
-LX2 radio tray with lower servo plate mount
-LX2 rear chassis support brace
-high torque servos

I will try to upload some pictures later.

Any other suggestion?

As with any race car the right tires can make all the difference. What kind of conditions will you be mostly racing in? Welcome back to the race scene!

Put universals on at least the front , and work with your diff and shock oils. That car can be a decent racer. Good luck and have fun with it.

I am planning on getting some sweep slick 45 for front and 40 for the rear. Or maybe 45 all around.
Only been able to practice a couple of times with GLARCRC in LA... and my car was like a pinball. Blame it on my driving! Haha.

It already comes with universal dog bone in the front.
I am running 80k front diff, 60k rear diff. Planning to go 100k in front.
Shock oil is still stock. Don't know what they pack back in the factory.

I really like the car, just wish it could be a bit lighter...

I have run 1 the last 2 seasons 500k front 50k rear diff oils use the heavy servo saver spring and add a washer to preload it more than oe. does you car have the rear pivot ball conversion or the standard rear arms if the standard arm nitrohouse has a 3 degree rear aluminum toe plate i recommend it i ran sweep 40 or sweep 45 all year last year still have them and they are very good use locktight on the motor mount screws or you will be eating spur gears and don't be afraid to go to the stiffer optional springs just make sure you go heavier on the oils

Right on the money with tires. 45s all around will last a little longer and still have good traction. Make sure you rotate them too to help with wear. Differential wise try 100k in the front like you plan and go lighter in the rear like a 30k. When I last ran at GLARC I was 300k front 40k rear with 800 shock oil. All of those are CST

Titanium turnbuckles and 4mm alloy screws will shave some weight. Class rule is 3500 grams.
