Kyosho 1/8 onroad gas?

Even if Kyosho's on-road 1/8 racing pedigree has the iconic symbol written into history, I don't know why this big Company would design a new 1/8 onroad car gas from the ground up. They have the knowhow to enter into this challenge and have a great product straightforward.

Whats your thoughts?

If Kyosho want to step in please let us know yours pipeline.

Cheers,
Marco.

People seem to think that RC companies exist only to make the products that they want, or that appeal to us, the racer. But they seem to forget that an RC company is just like any other company, they exist to make money. If they feel that a segment of the industry is not going to make them money, they wont create a product for that segment.
The on-road gas segment is, at the moment, one of the smallest segments in the industry, if they don't make money from it they wont design a car for it, its that simple.
Kyosho has always been much bigger in off road than on road...

Does any one make a 1/8th scale on road gaser?

8th scale onroad nitro, yes; 8th scale onroad gas car (like a 5th scale), not any more. There was one company, Compagnucci, that made an 8th scale car that had an engine that you could run either nitro fuel or a two-stroke gasoline mixture. All you had to do is change between the glow plug (nitro) and spark plug (gas). The few folks that had one that talked on the r/c forums said the car ran better off nitro than gas. HPI suppose to have an 8th scale gas engine that is a direct bolt in to any .21 and above engined car but haven't heard much about it since its initial fanfare on Red RC.

At the cost of the entry level 2wd and 4wd FG competition 5th scale cars, you could get an RTR quicker and cheaper than piecing together an 8th scale car.:nod:
