Well Got my 1st Weekend under my Belt to run the car.. I must say the front clutch bell bearing is a MAJOR weak Point. After Talking to a guy that used to race the DM1 they had the Same Issue. Fix was to stack 2 of the 8x5x2.5 bearings and use ofna part Number# 10099

Yep. And get yourself a BUKU clutch with a new clutch bell. A lot less heat

You can, but most rules say No Centex. They are trying to keep it "buggy" based

Will a regular round header fit on this car? Or do you still need the D style?

Questions?? Questions for you guys.

I just bought the 80% X3 GT. I have a N.I.B. Force .28 engine and a N.I.B. Hyper .21 8 port race engine (non pull start). What engine to use to keep it legal for class racing. If both engines are legit...what one would you use? Also, recommend me a perfect Hytech steering servo. Don't mind spending the money on servos....how bout throttle and brake servo too! I am brand new to 1/8 GT on road. Thanks guys. Jimmy

Actually, you want 3 or 4 bearings in the clutch bell. Shims between the crank end and long hat from the OFNA shim kit. Learned this with the DM1, that has the same clutch bell.

Go with the .21 for more RPM ...... IF YOU USE THE BUGGY GEARING ..... .28 for kit gearing. Servo 300+ torque for steering and throttle.

Also, change out the fiber brake disk to a metal with metallic pads. IGT Hobbies has them listed as option parts.
