Hi guys,

Just a bit of an update from Australia. I have been driving a sample E car for about the last 5 weeks now and I can say I'm very impressed. It came standard with a 150 amp speed control and 2100Kv motor.
Our track is an old 1/8th scale nitro track but now we can only use E cars because of the noise complaints due to the impeding suburbs.
The Hong Nor power grip belted slicks with sweep pink inner foams and mounted on the on road rims from Hong Nor work the best. I usually get about 8 full 6 minute races with a set of these tyres and have tried nearly every other brand and they either don't work well or just simply over heat and go off.
This is a really good offering from Hong Nor and seems well built and rugged enough for long stints between maintenance.

The first night race ever at our track on Saturday night and Im off to check the setup.

+1 Aluminum suspension holders and C-hubs for me. The body is pretty thick worth the $80, heck Kyosho bodies are like $100.

Just don't like the same clutch bell. Going to see if I can use my Team C bell.

The Team C will work. The gear spacing is the same. Gear pitch is the same.
Don't know about the pinion gear options though.

It is true that the OFNA 2 speed is notorious for being very reliable, not to mention the plethora of spurs available. But the TeamC 2 speed is just as good. The OFNA bell with that small bearing isn't reliable compared to a clutchbell that allows use of bigger front bearing. I did try the 4 bearing solution when I was testing gearing possibilities. It works but still not remotely as reliable as the TeamC bell.

Finally got a chance too get into the X3. I really don't like building kits anymore but I do go over the prebuilt ones. I like to start with 200k front and 60k rear.

If your the kind of guy who likes to go up and down your street. Diffs are filled just enough out of the box. Shocks guess filled with 800 so I left it there. I just set the rebound to 0. I had a couple of DM1 Spec for 2-3 years will say this car is an improvement without even driving it. Only dislike is there is only front brakes, tho looks like you can add rear.

I hope to put some tanks in tomorrow.

Well ready to hit the track. I forgot about the RTR engine mount took me back many years to my bashing days. Will be the first upgrade for sure if available. I use a Werks 34mm clutch for GT. Very simple and hits hard or soft, whichever you prefer. My starter box reaches the the flywheel thats a relief. FYI Team C engine mount doesn't work.
To the Ohhh! police, my apologies if something is wrong.

Went down to Nitro house yesterday. They said they were expecting another shipment in a few weeks. I am interested in this car and the gt8 racing scene. This class looks more affordable than the foam tire classes.

Pro engine mounts are already made from the buggy, the part number is 41337, you also need a smaller flywheel, part number 40573 that's a 35mm flywheel..

I raced 200mm nitro briefly. If you don't stay on top of your maintenance it can get very frustrating fast. GT is more relaxing and forgiving.

My X3 weighted in at 3438g similar to Team C. Xray 3998g
