world champion Traxxas 4-tec nitro
Ok help me out.....A good friend currently races a Traxxas nitro 4-tec and has had frustration after frustration running it. We have had it set-up so it is driveable however it is not, nor has it ever been competitive and or reliable. The LHS he brought it from recomended it higher than the likes of the v-one-s, Ntc3 etc (work that out) this was the biggest hobby shop in the southern hemisphere!!!!!.
Can someone help me explain in plain english why this car is not and will not ever be a full on racer.
Sorry about the subject but who would reply any other way
Thanks

Maybe if it is the Nitro 4-tech Pro, but not the RTR version by a long shot! I know 2 of the guys that work for Traxxas that placed 2nd and 6th at the Fuel Nationals in Ft. Worth last year with HIGHLY modified 4-tech Pros (Steve Slayden's car was featured in R/C Car Action in fact). That aside, they are not very competitive, especially since the introduction of the NTC3. This car is a good learner car since it's like a tank and if you get good with it, then you can do very good with a better car!

Re: world champion Traxxas 4-tec nitro
all you have to say is traxxas, no other word is needed.
till traxxas puts some time making a real race car and not all those rtr then you will never ever get what you could call real ready to race car......
