Hey guys, Would the Savox SC-1258TG be a good servo to use as a replacement for steering/TH on a 1/10 ?

I would go with the Savox SC-1251 MG low profile servos. I use them in my S411 Eryx and as the throttle and brake for my 747. Low profile gives you a lot more room and they are a bit lighter. 125g is enough for a 200mm Sedan or a 190mm Sedan. You can find the in stock on Amain right now.

The 1258 will work but in my opinion is not ideal for the smaller cars. If you already have it or got a good deal that will work well. If you are buying new take a good look at the 1251 I really like them as well as all the other 10th scale guys around here.

AGREED 100% !!! Have them in my XRAY NT1...they fit and perform awesome over a yr now !

That for the feedback guys! I can get the Savox SC-1258TG for about $74 and the Savox Servo SC-1251MG for $59. That's Aussie dollars so would be a bit less in USD if you are comparing. So the pricing delta isn't that big between the two. Looking at getting 4 so will have a think about it.

The 1251s are great you'll love them. The only servo I will put in a 10th scale. You'll be happy with the speed and the smaller case is awesome. I'm not sure what you are putting them in but they made a big difference in my 747 and S411. A lot more room for everything else and save some serious grams.

The low profiles are ideal. The 1258 is a bit heavy for TC use and you'll love the extra space you get with the low profile!

I have put up a wanted post in the Aussie section for the SC-1251MG. So I will see what comes back.
I am going to drop them in my RS4 evo+ to start with until I decide what to "step up" to for real racing. Thought it better to get a good set of servos from the start that I can re-use down the track.

Hello guys, new 2 the onroad thing. Got a mugen mtx4 with a collari .12 engine. Is this a pretty good engine. I also have a Ofna Hyper7 , thats bad.
