the stock plug with the kit is fine. i use blue thunder 20%. btw, if you get the kit, hopups i recommend are the graphite upper deck, the fiberglass brake disk(probably should order that when you get the kit), and get some belted slicks, with some mesh rims. the stock tires arent so good. the graphite upper deck will make the car more sturdy, you'll notice when you run it what i mean. the brake disk is WAAAAAYYYY better than the stock plastic one. after that the only real upgrades would be a new engine pipe, flywheel and engine mounts. all other upgrades would be for the track. i could go on for a while so if you have ANY questions just ask. i basically know everything about this car

Any ideas on glow plug and fuel to use?
sonic..you want to get one of the 2PL radios.....they haveend point adjustment, which comes in handy with the rs4 3 throttle linkage..the only reason I sugested the one with 1 servo is most people upgrade their servos..........

BTW,I have the HPi rs4 3 SS......and an HPI EVO 3 RTR......trust me on this..get the better radio...

Run the car as is before spending a bunch of money is my advice.

See how you like it, before sinking a lot of money into it. If you like it, you maybe further ahead by saving your money for a better car next season or something.

price range...doesnt exactly matter but this will do good for $300 for the kit then all I need is the radio and such..
I dont want to blow like $700 and not get the full potential out of it...im just buying a fun car to build and race around parking lots

ok then you picked the right car. and like someone just said dont spend a fortune on upgrades, but some upgrades are, i dont know how to say it, but necessary i guess? tires brakes and upperdeck arent alot but you will notice a diffrence in the car.

Definitely go for the NTC3 plus. Its a much better can than the RS4 3 Evo. It outhandles and outpowers that car in everyway. And yes, the NTC3 plus is competitive STOCK at races. The car is perfect for the novice class. Plus upgrades are very easy to find.

its not that its hard, its just a little confusing to some people. another reason to get this car is that when you need parts, they are easy to get. ive ordered parts on tuesday and get them on friday. towerhobbies carries everything you would need for the car.
