Default Wraps?

Well I hope these do not end up killing nitro sedan racing like capped tires killed pancar oval racing. 1 tire for 25 bucks. Needing to stock different staggers for all 4 corners and multiple compounds and widths needed in your box for all types of tracks.

Sure was a nice move to have a handfull of guys have an unfair advantage at another Roar Nationals. Not Jaco's fault, it's business but Roar needs to stop this stuff from happening.

I sure need a tire sponsor!!

I'm well aware of the negative impact capped tires has had on the oval market. These tires are not $25 each, but $25pr. Only $3.00 more than our standard tires.

Yea thats sorta steep. Normal Jaco's are only 10 a pair. 25 means 53 a set when the normal ones are 21-22 a set. You could buy 2 sets for that one. They would have to last a hella long time for me to get some.

Our normal price is $22pr, but you don't pay $44 set do you? The street price for these will be in the mid teens I would guess.
We are shipping the first batch tomorrow.

Just so everyone knows who will be in attendance for the 2005 Great Lakes Challenge in Toledo - Halo Hobbies will have a complete stock of 2-Stage 1/12 and Nitro Touring Tires on hand at the hobby shop. Prices will be announced as soon as I recieve info from Jaco. We will also have a complete stock of 1/8 Jaco tires as well.

Here's what Josh had to say about the tires:

"Jaco 2-Stage Tires:
Jaco has spent several years testing and developing their new "2-Stage" racing tires and that testing has paid off. The 1/12 2-Stage tires dominated the 2004-2005 electric season and now this technology is being brought to nitro racing as well. These tires provide more side bite, better forward bite as well as a substantial decrease in rotating mass yeilding lap times anywhere from .2-.5 per lap faster than any other standard tire. This advantage showed with Jaco taking home the National title for 2005."

The article and close-up photos of the tires on Josh's car should be up on SGrid Online in a day or so; photos are done, just waiting for the article.
