My 960-08 should be on its way soon, can't wait to get back into 1/8 onroad.

How are people finding OS1 vs OS2?

Yes they are! That track looks awsome!
The 960'08 won the Texas Biggie this past weekend as well! Great car! Smooth and predictable!

I just built my 960 and after building quite a few Xray's over the years I'm abit dissappointed with the build. I built an original 960 a few years ago and can't remember having so many problems. The instructions are not actually that clear in a few places.

Anyway, the ball joints for the steering are very tight, I disconnect them and the wheels turn free, so does the servo saver, but as soon as I connect everything its really stiff. The ball joints are way too tight. I may replace them with Xray instead of mucking with them.

The rear wheels won't fit. I press the wheels on and they touch the hub, but the drive pin is just in the rim and the rim still needs to move about 2mm before the quick release will clip on. I'm going to pull it all apart again, but I wonder if I have the OS2 axle or hubs or something.

I guess I'll figure it out soon.

The latest 08' 960 kits comes with OS 2 axles and rear uprights, you must use OS 2 wheels which are usually white rims.

I'm laughing here, as I bought a pile of tyres on Serpent rims and now it sounds like none of them will fit. Thats just brilliant.

The hobby shop that you got your kit from should have informed you of the change.

I'll hopefully confirm that with them soon, but they may have not been told either. My kit left Holland a week and a half ago and was expecting the new radio plate support and weight and rear shock tower, but I got the original ones

You can always buy the rear OS1 uprights and use OS1 axles for front and rear (even better if you have the axles from before) and convert it back to OS1 and so you can run the Serpent tires that you already bought.
