It works pretty much on the same principle as the fuel nozzles you get at Petrol Stations. When the liquid touches the nozzle's air inlet tube, the flow of fuel coming out stops.
You basically fill the gun with your nitro fuel, then with its nozzle placed right inside your fuel tank you pull the trigger. A seperate tube lets air into the fuel chamber of the gun allowing gravity to sort of drop the fuel out of the main nozzle into your tank.
The fuel comes out faster than a fuel bottle because of the larger nozzle and as soon as the fuel level touches the nozzle's air inlet tube, the flow of fuel coming from the fuel gun stops. At this point you should let the trigger go and only then remove the gun from the tank ... else if you still have fuel in the gun's chamber, it'll continue flowing again as soon as the air inlet tube get more air.
You then have one big mess
Best to try it out a few times with water in the fuel gun and try "fuelling" a cup or something.
By the way, to see one of these guns in action go and download the video of the BRCA A-Main final at 3Hobby.Com
. Look for the news article just below the "Forum Center" on the front page. The news article only gets posted at 00:00hrs EDT on 27th May so if you go there now its not there yet. Just click on the Downloads link in the side navigation bar (left side) of the page and find the video title "BRCA 1:10 A-Main v2".
