I could be wrong...but I think the rranger is talking about spacing out the one way out-drive. Could work... except that there is a plastic spacer/seal already in most cars. So, I'm not sure if it'll be a good idea to have a copper gasket rubbing on a plastic spacer.

Anyhow... a question for my sifoo... I'm not interested in the car, but I do want to know your opinion on the new MTX3 rims/tires ??? Are they avail in HK yet. Any finally.... are they comparable in price w/ the old Fast tires? Thanks Moon!!!

the spacer in that point will reduce the one-way roller coverage on the outdrive shaft unless the outdrive has much longer shaft inside the oneway.

the stock MTX3 tire is also made by GRP and they are 1mm offset. the tire has not yet available here.

Thanks Manticore.

How are the rims? They appear to be a lot stronger than some of the other GRP's. I don't mind the 1mm offset...just more pillow ball "coverage" in the arms. (for my RR) Thanks again.

Yes, that's exactly what I am talking about, but I don't understand what you mean plastic spacer, the added spacer direct contact the one way bearing with a metal housing, I don't see any plastic parts.

The oneway out drive shaft is 13 mm long, and the one way bearing is 12 mm, except the housing, you add 2 mm spacer still keep the bearing cover the shaft completely. 'Know your car first' Yes, that's what Hpi telling us.

The V-one R varients have a plastic spacer there.... I still dont think its a good idea.... bronze is soft.... metal is hard... bronze shavings and bearings are bad

in this case, you dont need 7075 chassis at all. a FRP chassis will do the job but not necessary correct.

you do miss HPI forum.

I'm thinking of cutting up a piece of lexan to use as an upper deck.... It will be heaps lighter.... it flexes a bit, but I figure if I use 2 it should be ok.... you want me to make you up one Manti?

2mm Lexan for a Radio Plate. Not bad idea but will it be sturdy enough. I mean the flex will upset both your throttle linkages and the steering linkages and play havoc with the balance of the car.
