Hello,

Could anyone tell me how to prevent the car from "hooking" in corner....when i enter a fast sweeper very fast, the car would "hook" lose speed and then slide sideway, it usually happened in mid corner. The car is fast in all aspects of the track apart from two corners

Here my setup:

lola shell
42 s front
Front solid axle
600wt oil
dark blue spring
caster 1mm at rear
ackerman c
199mm front width
antiroll bar vertial
2mm droop
1" toeout
5mm front height
1/2 degree camber

rear

50,000 wt oil in diff
37 s rear
600 wt oil
dark blue apring
AA block
200mmm width
antiroll flat
6mm droop
6mm ride height
1/2 camber
1.5" toe in
no shims under outer link on upright blocks

thanks

After looking your setup, I think rear AA block is the culprit. You should try CC rear block for less roll but more grip.

Also try softer oil weight like 400 for front and rear suspension. I notice you don't use the original rear sway bar. Maybe swicth back to original because the blade type is too stiff even at flat position.

I agree, try disconnecting the rear sway bar.

Switch from C ackerman to A, If you are running foam tires switch to 3.5 rear camber and 2 front .drop to 30000 diff lube also get rid of some of the rear droop!

Try working with tires! Maybe switch front tires to 40Shore and 37 on the back, because in my opinion there is a huge diference in the shore, and you have more traction on the rear with no control on the front. I don't know if you understand me.. Or maybe leave the 42 and back put 40Shore. If that doesn't work, start working with the suspension, maybe add some shims in the rear uprights.. Or play with the shocks..

Put more tow in the rear, about 3, use a b or a steering ackerman and use gray springs up front with a 45deg sway bar setting. and the second hole up on both shock towers.

I liked the Stratus 3.0 so much, I ordered 12 of them. Problem is, my painter is so busy....

After hitting a dead car in the straight, I need to put a new chassis under the car. What is everyone else running? I think I'm just going to get a new Prospec chassis from Mugen, but it isn't cheap.

Just wanna say I'm getting a warm, fuzzy feeling after my 2nd race weekend with this car. Very stable and predictable .
Wayne- Good meeting/racing against you and Larry! Glad you guys made the trip up. Glad you had parts!
Ira- Was hoping to see ya there. You making MWS? Finck and I had FUN. Both of us were in the show. A caved in pipe slowed me down. Seems the oil gets on the tires, making traction an issue! lol.
