Default HPI Hellfire: Is it worth it?

Last summer, a friend of mine gave me an old HPI Hellfire x 4.6HO. It wasn't working, so as a challenge I dropped a few bucks to see if I could get her up and running.

I played with it for a few tanks until I finally had no pinch in the cylinder (not much to begin with anyways).

I ended up getting a new cylinder/set and a carb rebuild kit. I was also planning on upgrading to a 2.4GHz radio, until I starting wondering if I was dumping too much $$$ into a discontinued model with diminishing spare parts.

What do you all think? I don't race or anything. I just like driving it around parking lots, etc. by myself. Since I'm a bit of an aggressive driver, I don't want break anything discontinued.

Although my low speed needle is ok, I did notice it is no longer readily available...for example

Thanks!

Its a truggy, a lot of parts from multiple brands will fit with some finesse and finangling. As for the engine, the truggy class is still solidly popular, just in electric moreso. Plenty of engines out there should you want to ditch the stock one. For a basher you should be fine
