Man, you know your stuff. It's my Cobra Gt, they also have the same body with a shorter wheelbase that would fit the viper, but I got my eye on a BMWm1 body for that project. And yup, those sure are thunder tiger wheels. They were the only 1/8 wheels I could find with a dish to them. You could get the tires at Sweepracingusa.com. They offer different compounds with tremendous grip.

Thumbs up

In reference to the Deltaplastik Porsches posted earlier, I have a few questions. With that low stance and little wheel clearance, how do you keep the tires from rubbing the paint off the insides of the fenders/wheel flares? Or do you raise the body a bit for running? Lastly, how does the thickness compare to something like the Protoform PF8-GT?

I'm currently running a beat up PF8-GT (wheelies on 6s ripped the rear corners), but I'd like to get something a bit different next time and I'm torn between the Porsche and the Lancia.

Note: I started to quote the posts containing the cars in question, but the forum won't let me post anything that includes an outside URL even if I'm quoting an older post

I keep the chassis somewhat high and stiffly sprung with the body set low. It works for me cause I usually drive on super smooth surfaces. Furthermore, they sell the body in different thicknesses, but I never had a Protoform so I can't compare. Hope this helps!

Like Evo told, you can get these bodies in different thicknesses, at least at 1- and 1.5mm. I have a 1mm body and it feels quite solid. The thicker one is propably quite heavy but should hold a lot of beating. Yesturday I got my conversion running so I don't know yet how the suspension is working, is it too soft or... I'll propably lift the body few mm when running the car.

What kind of car and set up are you running under that Porsche shell? Let us know how it works with the body.

It's a old TT EB4 S2 Pro with rally foambumper and converted to brushless with Tekno parts. It's made just for fun so the old chassis doesn't matter. Btw, just made the first test indoors. The cats goes mad lol. Fitted also a gyro to it, to make high speed runs safer.

I could imagine the cat going wild. Here's mine. I was pussy-footing it around the lot to break in the engine.

Looking good. Wish we had that nice sunny weather here. Here it's dark and rainy, so no way you wan't to take the car outside for a drive.

ROAR??? ... What the heck do they need thanking for??
Do they (ROAR) even know what GT cars are? It is well known in europe that the "Big Snake" pulls the strings at ROAR.
