Default Mugen Avance

I bought an avance last week and raced it for the first time with little practice, but i just love this car.I love it so much that a friend of mine was selling out his 1/10 scale on road stuff, and i bought 1 more 90%built car, 2 partially built cars, 1 still in the box (kit) 1 extra chassis , a set up station, enough spare parts to build a fifth car, dozens of extra gears, three or four extra 2 speed transmissions a cou[ple of clutches and 56 sets of trued tires .(almost forgot an rb x-15 turbo)

I am starting this thread because i see threads about other 235 cars that i do not think are as competitive as the avance and i think this car is due a little recognition. also if there are any tricks you guys know of on how to make it a little faster/more stable/would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
Mike L.

once you true the tires, you really should keep them in ziptie bags... to keep the air out of them... they will turn harder and inconsistent.

Killer deal Mike! Now I know where to go for parts... What compound tires do you have and will you possibly part with some?

The Avance is my first nitro car... and I've reallly enjoyed it this season... Fun to drive and easy to work on.

I too hope the class survives afew more years...

Baggies here i come. James, i am sure we can work out a deal. Trashcar, what do you mean by 21's here i come? 21 second lap? you already did that sunday, but it looks like the guy running the 24's won the race I plan on getting into the 23's next week. i will have some practice time this weekend finally. i will get that rb i got from from eli a new piston and sleeve and send it down to Uriah so i have a back up fast motor. i can't wait to practice now since i don't have to worry about wearing out tires or breaking anything. now i know a little what it feels like to be sponsored(at least in the sense of unlimited parts availability) now i just need to get fast like you trashcar.

Andy, i know, i wish i could turn 21's i remember at the 03 1/8 worlds 21's were decent lap times for those big cars! I saw Pulfer turned some low 20's Sunday. that is unconsious.
I put on the mrx-4 clutch and the mrx-4 2 speed on my car for this last weekend and it made a lot of difference in the shifting smothness and consistancy. I saw James putting on the 1/8 scale 2 speed on his car last night, I think He is ready to play with the 24's himself. with all you guys going to mentor this weekend i will have the track to myself to practice on. maybe i will turn a 21 or 22?? haha
see ya

the funny thing is , at least for me I can turn 24's with that 3 port novamega motor i have. The only problem is i know that 24 is as good as that motor will do for me. if i knew that mid 24 second laps would win a race, i would just put that motor in and not worry about it. unfortunantly we have andy and we used to have eli who can turn 22's or 21's and don't forget the sedan guys with every 5 plus port motor known to man who will be trying to take the big cars down.we will have durability on our side though. we just have to keep it together for a half an hour. no problem!

yeah right.

Default big block 15s

I am not sure if they are the only ones but I do know that they are available from ashford hobbies and they make awesome power. I had mine modified by Uriah Murnan and it is a monster.

Default Need part number

I've lost the small retainer clip that's located in the end of the shock body. This thing keeps the white spacers and O-rings in the shock body. Does anyone know the part number for this thing? Or what package of parts it would come with?

Thanks in Avance... J
