there were 15 in the class and was a 6 race series. the motor i used was a werks .21B5 5port. with a 4.5mm restrictor. we run a rule of 6mm restrictor or smaller on 4 or 5 port motors, 3 port motors can run open. cost about 175 from tower hobbies

ok great.. thanks for the info...

also for those that are asking about how this class could be set apart montonica has their touring car body for the club race package they offer..

we could ask WRC to consider making this type of body.. if a overall yes is at hand..

Default WRC Toledo racers

Opinions please, thinking of purchashing a pan car to race with the Toledo racers. I need a car that's forgiving to a not so good driver. Also want a car to prepare me for 4wd 8th scale racing. Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

Really, the only car that is currently available is the WRC. EVO's are current, the DUO is a few years old and I don't know about the availability. Jason at IrwinRC is our parts' source and has been great in supporting the class.

There probably some used cars around but many will be Motonica P8C's and it has become difficult to get parts. This may not be a big issue if you are handy in making/modifying some things yourself. Some 4wd and WRC parts can be modified and used also.

Your idea of starting out in the Pan class and working your way up to 4wd is a great one. You can learn much from the Pan cars both about the car and driving. And being able to race with the Toledo guys, you will be with great guys and probably the most consistent and competitive pan racers this side of the Atlantic! On top of that we have Das 1/8 Mopar (Lon Burling) the guiding force behind the Pan Car Class in Toledo and The Midwest Series!!!

Best wishes,
Ned
