I checked the stock RX8 motor mounts on the WRC and the mounting holes do not line up. They are off by quite a bit. A drill press and a tap would be in order to make it work.

Default Progress

I have made some progress with the build. A little hand fitting here and there (mostly because I'm slightly OCD) but everything seems to be good. Pretty cool car. I went with 80K in the diff to start but it seems pretty soft now that its built so that might not be the ticket. We will see.

Default A few more

I made a few small changes to the radio plate. The servo rubbed a little on the front standoffs and the tank so I used a touring car stand off for now. I also notched the back radio plate mounting holes so they would line up better and widened the slots for the roll bar. Remember the OCD thing..ha.

Jeff,
I had the same issues. I turned the stock standoffs down to a smaller diameter where they interfered with the servo and milled the rear radio plate mount to allow better alignment.

Looks like the standoffs could possibly be used to adjust the stiffness of the chassis...if you wanted to do such a thing! lol

Default Gurney "McLaren" on WRC 2013

I got the decals for the Gurney McLaren from Carl Seils! This body is a Pa]rma Lola 530 I bought by mistake (thought it was a vintage 530) Still not a Matt "top fuel" body!!! lol

I have a couple of McLaren M20 bodies from Delta Plastik, that I will set-up the same way.
