We will see how it handles but I suspect it will be a good performer. I plan to start building ours this weekend. Parts support is what to look for and the WRC maybe the only car right now with direct US support.

Many people are running the NovaRossi basic sport 3 port or 5 port on-road motor.

The initial buy in cost is about the same really with the exception of the motor. 200 or so for the pan car motor and 400 500 for the 4WD motor. But once you get the Pan car rolling the operating costs will be lower. I can attest to this. I have 3 Xray RX8s 4WDs and although they are bullet proof, motors, clutch maintenance and tires will be higher than with the pan car. Right now you can race the 4WD more places but for 2014 that may even change. Both are good fun so it's up to you.

I got my WRCs. I may have another former Ontario 8th On Road Racer member interested in joining us. I'll get my car built and show it at local Carpet Races.

I was looking for you to show up at the Dayton MWS race or the Snowball rally as I thought we had talked about this before. I was ready to show you WRCs and Motonicas, maybe run one, but you never showed. Are you for real? I hope so as Springfield is over due to have a MWS Champion!

Just messing with you, but you'd make a good Champion just the same!
Buying the stuff you need to race 4wd or 2wd is not all that different. How ever parts, fuel, and tires go much further in 2wd (slower speeds). Labor and set up is much easier in 2wd.

Jumping right into 4wd is not out of the question, racers have been doing it for years, but they didn't have a choice, you do. I think 4wd is where most of us should end up, it's the F1 of RC. 2 years of racing 2wd first is a good start and money in the bank. By that time you should have learned a munch and formed a plan for stepping up to 4wd. It's all fun! But the new 4wd racer has a lot to learn in order to get up to speed. The other 4wd guys will help you all they can, but they have to stay on top of their own car first. 2wd guys can be found napping between rounds (or BSing)!

Default WRC 013 Diff

I am building the diff on this new 13 car and I am not very familiar with this type of diff. Do I fill it with diff oil and if so to what level? The two halves seem to both need to get filled. Any info?

Jeff
