You can use a standard shaft as well. You will need to do a little research. Use this kit as reference, it's the basic TG10 Mk.2 kit for standard motors:

http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=44043

Here are some of the items

1. Pilot Shaft: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...uct-id=3454247

2. Clutch bell: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...uct-id=3455826

3. Fly Wheel: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...uct-id=5494016

Tamiya shows some of them out of stock.. you will have to search the web for them..

Thanks for any answer! That's why I asked as I had some left over parts from Mk.1 using the standard pilot shaft, clutch bell and flywheel from Mk.1. I had the 2 spd tranny so it was a duplication of parts given. Hmm, I wonder if these will work on it.

From what I remember, the flywheel on a TG10 was kind of large in diameter. You may need to use a different flywheel or raise the motor on the mount. Pilot shaft will probably work. Best thing to do is try it out.

Flywheels, clutch bells can work on different cars. Towards the end, I was using a Nitro TC3 clutch, clutch bell with my TG10!

About to bring the Mk2 back from the dead as soon as I get electronics and an engine. Nothing special just a 12TZ. My Mk2 was something else even with the FR12R and I always wondered what it could do with more power. Right now its in about a million pieces. I gotta admit I've been putting it off since I get so intimidated by the sheer number of parts it's in right now. (A full parts box there, half a parts box here, bags of new stuff in this drawer, and yet even more new parts in that drawer. Damn come to think of it, half of my Venom pit bag is Tamiya Mk2 Pro bits and pieces.

Anyways, anyone got any suggestions for a good pipe for the Mk2/TZ combo? I was looking at FW05 pipes and the RB looks kosher to me. I was thinking of the Vantage but my buddy ran his FW05 sunday (which has the Vantage pipe) and it sounded like dookie compared to my INS-having +Evo.

I know I've said this before but it's really disheartening seeing that Tamiya USA seems to completely unacknowledge the car. Was just looking through a Tamiya USA kit catalog (with the red CR01 FJ on the cover) and there's not a single mention of anything Mk2. ):

Joe,

Get the O.S. 1040, it's a real good match with the TZ. You'll still have to order the manifold too.

If you are going to go the OS route this is the manifold you would need:

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...3&I=LXKBH4&P=K

Personally I think the OS pipe and manifold are ridiculously expensive.. more than a Novarossi set..

So here are some options for half the price.

1. http://www.skylinercracing.com/store/p_35.htm
2. http://rbmods.net/rbshop/index.php?t...&product_id=35

Vantage racing is a bit more, but they are carbon!

oops, sorry you already know about the vantage.. :-)

Novarossi 51068 is a right hand tuned pipe. It's short so it will surely give you lots of top end. You would have to special order it from Novarossiusa.com As for a manifold.. you'd have to use another brand.. I don't think they make a C shaped for .12

clutch disc and a ball thrust bearing holder, and i have asked when tamiya will
re-stock the inventory and they told me the shipment will not arrive in 8 to 12
weeks. so just asking if any of you guys have those two spare parts for sale.

First suggestion would be to search ebay. There are a lot of Ebay stores in Japan and Hong Kong that can order these for you. I've ordered a lot of Tamiya parts from them, their prices are fair and service is great.

Look into the centax clutch parts for the Kyosho FW05-RR, Serpent, and Mugen. The design of these clutches are pretty much the same, so parts maybe interchangeable.

Hello from France,

This european store have some parts. E-Mail him to know if he have all the parts you need.

For the exhaust, the best is the Mielke 2501 Masterfix for FW05/TG10.

A revoir

RD Logic also made a header/pipe combo for the TG10/FW05. I have one on my TG10 mk.2 coupled with a Mugen X12.

Got a cheap Novarossi N12LL5 from a local guy and intended to use the SKYLINE pipe with a manifold from LD3 but the Skyline's for left side exhaust cars! For LD3, their cars are also having a right hand tune pipe + manifold.

Why did Tamiya stop making this. I got one on eBay for a good price and man it's like it's on rails! Are they coming out with a new one?
