1/8 onroad foam rear tire stickers

I have a question about the sticker than comes with 1/8 onroad foam rear tires, which presumably is used to prevent chunking.

I've been told to stick the round sticker such that half of it goes on to the foam and half of it is stuck on the wheel itself.

Any truth to this? Or should the entire sticker be stuck on the foam sidewall?

I'd like to hear from those who use these stickers.

Thanks in advance!

It differs per brand. The one is placed just around the rim, the other falls directly on the edge of the rim and some are that small you can rubb it to the inside of the rim.

But when your tires start to wear, and get smaller, you loose side bite.....

But than again, the lower ride height compensates for this.;)
i use the sticker to tune just a little less or more rear grip at the rear. It does help with chunking in 10 scale though.

When you sauce your tires, the sticker will come off ;)

You heard right. Try to stick a little on the wheel. This helps keep it in place as the tire wears and also helps keep it off the track. Personally, I don't use them. I have been at tracks that ask racers not to use them because they end up as debri on the track. They do look cool though.
