Default 2004 Worlds Track....sad end?

Was disappointing to read in a local RC magazine that the Jundiai track that hosted the 2004 IFMAR 200mm Nitro Tourer Worlds is under threat.
Apparently local elections have seen a change in administration of the park and organised racing is no longer permitted the track is now virtually abandoned, dirty and the track is deteriorating.

Yes, it's sad but true. The new park administration does not let us run organized races there anymore. The R/C club that should be responsible for the track maintenance is mainly an airplane R/C club, and they don't care much about the car track, but the park administration does not let another R/C club take care of the track. So the track is almost abandoned, always dirty, and the asphalt is deteriorating.

That is too bad, that was a very cool track. The layout of the track was very original the way it was layed out on the side of the hill. And the park was an amazing place, it had everything you could think of. It even had GIANT RATS that lived by the water, they were huge. I wish we had place like that in California. It had something for the entire family to do there, no matter what you wanted to do. The people there were really cool. The chicks were HOT, tight spandex running pants are the best.

This is not a rat, it is a CAPIVARA, typical animal on Brazil.

I live in Jundiai and We are organizing a new club to take care of the track. However, there is some political problems to deal with. The park has not prohibited races there, they just require a minimum of organization.

That is pretty sad for a track of that caliber to go under. I remember watching one of my Ray Wood DVD's of the Worlds for nitro touring, and that track is by far one of the best i've seen.

We have another track near Jundiai that's MUCH BETTER than the World's track... You can find some pictures at; http://www.rcworld.com.br/modules.ph...showpage&pid=9

This page is in portuguese, but you can find some nice pictures.. It's inside a large farm.

I just can't believe you guys found that track that amazing as you guys say...
I think both http://www.rcworld.com.br/modules.p...=showpage&pid=9
and http://www.rcworld.com.br/modules.ph...showpage&pid=9 tracks are better...
The first one for me is perfect...
The second one could have a more interesting Layout... Even so it's still hard to find a track with 290~300ft straightway like the second one...

Both tracks are in Brazil...

Well, the Capivara really IS a giant rodent. Not a rat, but still part of the Rodent family. Regardless of it's true name someone will say "That's one F'ing huge RAT! " Sucks that they closed down the track though.
