Rear Diff. question?

Hi guys, Im kinda new to this whole RC thing and was just wondering how do u know if your rear diff is to tight? I took my serpent all the way apart for the first time simce I have had it. When I put it back to together I think i may have over tightened my rear diff. Before my car would roll free and smooth if push by my hand, now there is alot of friction/resistance. Dont be to hard on the new kid if this is a dumb question. Thanks

Hold the belt diff (rear belt)
Hold the left wheel
Turn the right wheels couple of rounds, if it turn easily it means too soft.

You should remember the first time you build the rear diff. What oil rating do you use ? 10,000 weight ? 30,000 weight ? 50,000 weight? the later should be more resistance to turn, therefore it should give you more punch on exit but also a corner spin ( oversteer ).

Technical track needs heavier oil diff in general.

It should feel hard to turn, but not too hard. You feel resistance but not so much. If it doesn't turn, you need real people to take a look and hear some comments.

if the whole drivetrain has a lot of friction, or more than before, it has nothing to do with the diff. Something must be binding. Maybe you put a bearing in the wrong place, or a bearing is broken, or something of the sort. Nothing to do with the diff.
