mounting new foamies to old 950

I know its not a direct fit and I have heard of people doing it. What needs to be cut/grind to make it fit and do you need new parts?

It sounds like filing the locking piece down a bit will allow it to lock onto the newer style rim. Are the newer rims a wider offset?

is that safe to do?

Brokenparts 03-11-2013 04:20 PM

Safe? I hit a blacktop lip running in the parking lot at full speed and the car flew eyeball height at 60mph upside down. How's that for safe? XD

In all seriousness, what other option do I have? I want to run my 950R so I need tires. I'm not upgrading to new parts unless all I need is axles.

Buy some axles and see if you can make them fit. Perhaps all you need is to drill hole somewhere other than where it is.
