Get rid of the yellow piston buttons. When I used them the clips were constantly deforming and coming off within the shock. Once I changed back to the stock white buttons there has not been an issue since.

You may be right, the yellow pistons are supposed to be more precise dimensionally, but they seem to be more prone to deforming. I am switching back to the white Delrin pistions......

There is nothing wrong with the yellow LF pistons. I use them and never had a clip come off. All you need to do is run the shock longer at 15mm all round. The clip will still come off in a crash with the stock pistons if you run the shock at stock lengths. The clip deforms when the shock bottoms out in a crash or when you hit a curb hard. So at stock lengths it don't matter what piston you run.

Another way to improve the shock is by lightly sanding the piston to very slightly reduce the thickness of the piston so that it freely rotates on the shaft with the clips fitted. Just use some fine emery paper and about 30 seconds of circular sanding and jobs done. This goes for the stock and LF pistons. If you have the LF pistons continue with them as they do make for a smoother shock but just sand them slightly so that the rotate that's all.

Once built 'properly' using the tips above these are hands down the best shocks we've had from Serpent. Very easy to bleed and get repeatable rebound. I really like the shocks over the previous RCM shocks heck the nut used to come undone on those which was also a PITA.

I'm looking for a tool to round the edges of my tires after I true them down. I was thinking of just going to home depot and getting some sand paper and gluing it to a paint stick. Anyone using something else that I can purchase?

on the new flow bumper can someone conferm which insert is the fully closed
and which is the half open. the insert that is closed at the bottom is half open
at the top and the insert that is closed on top is half open on the bottom.so
not sure which is for low speed steering and which is for high speed steering.

Is it common to use the hard suspesion parts, 903610, 903611 etc?

I dont see it mentioned in many setupsheets - but from previous classes/cars this is sometimes parts they "always" use anyway.

Is it the same here or is standard the more common way?
