8th scale where I race use one set in a 30min final regarding the "normal engine guys". The "sponsored "engine guys do a tire change halfway through.

But the tires cost the same, so its the same cost wise both 10 and 8 scale for me.

Have fun.

I got a 977wc a few weeks back after a 3 year break from racing and raced it for the first time this past weekend. I always wanted to try 1/8 on road. I'm hooked now I love this car. I also TQ'd and won the main Not one single issue with it the entire 2 days. Built the car to the set up included with the kit and the car was dialed. The only change I made was I added a little more camber on the left side because of the tire wear i was getting from the high speed sweepers.

The driving style of 1/8 on road is intense! In the past I always ran mod electric and nitro sedan, and even though I love these classes, I think 1/8 takes the cake Can't wait for the next race! here is a a picture of my 977. Now putting all my other cars up for sale to get more Serpents[IMG][/IMG]

I have not had that problem with the 977. It has happened to me with past cars. Try a little fingernail polish on the thread.

Is there a chance that you hit something with that corner of the car? The only time Ive ever lost one of those was because I hit a board and instead of the arm breaking or the pivot ball bending it stripped the threads on the upright and I lost the nut. That was back in 2009 though, and the 966.

Never had that issue personally on any of my Serpent Onroad nitro cars however a buddy had it once where he'd hit a board and it had cracked the hub where the adj nut screws in. You couldn't see the crack unless you tried to twist the hub!

Finished the build on my WC and have to say it was a pleasure...such a well thought out chassis.

A pic for your viewing pleasure (dots care of my 4 year old)

Cheers
Adrian

What do you want the car to do? The more droop you add the more grip (in the rear at least, never have to play with front droop too much) said end will have
