Default 966 help

Recently traded for a 966 and its my first serpent and first on road 1/8. Anyhow I don't think the clutch bearings that it came with were correct. I blew the pressure bearing and went to the hobby shop and they sold me an arrowmax mrx5 clutch set without pinions. They told me it was interchangeable with the serpent. When I went to put my pinions on the threading was different and the inner diameter on first gear was tat ally different. Is it interchangeable with serpent? If I buy pinions that fit the mrx5 clutch will it work in the serpent? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Default 966

Can I get pinions for the mrx5 clutch and use it? Single dad with three kids on a budget looking for best solution. I traded my losi 8 for it. Here's a pic. Just finished painting it over Christmas. First 1/8 body I've done and first time I used liquid mask so I tried lots of things like fades just for the experience. Laid down silver and gold flake in the orange, red, yellow and green areas first. Looks freat in the light. Only the third body I've painted so I'm pretty happy with it. Thanks for the help its greatly appreciated!

Yes you can use the Mugen or Shepherd pinions on that clutch.

I personally use the Arrowmax pinions for the MRX5 because the cost only half as much and are good quality.

That clutch is awesome btw!!

I got a chance to see this bad boy in person yesterday. Very Nice looking car. I think on Forgass.com there are a few spy shots of it.
