Alot of guys up here (NY) are switching to sedan, rumors going around. If its true this is perfect time for me to get some practice with a brand new 1/8.
Your sedan is looking good too!
Might go with the 747 if I decide to just stay with sedan.
I got a little guy whos getting old enough to bring him out, the reason im looking for a 1/8 scale

I'm almost in the same boat. Considering bringing my son to start racing. Just trying to work out what he'll start with! I have several 733's, 747 and 966 rollers he could use. Quite looking forward to it..... I think!

If you decide to sell a 747 roller in the near future, keep me in mind

Default starting 8 scale

Hi, i`ve been reading up on the 8scale wisdom from all the fast guy`s here and come up with a question. What do you adjust the rear bodybrace to. What does high or lower hight do to the car. According to the 950 setup ist higher for high speed steering(wich the viper already has plenty, from what i hear) and lower will give less chatter???
quote:
Position 1 (upright)
• Increases high-speed steering
Position 2(inclined)
• Increases stability
• Much less tendency to “chatter” especially under braking
unquote

Can someone elaborate on this?
Could use some advise so i can keep up with the big guy`s this upcomming season.
from pictures on the internet everyone seems to go high?
Lower should give less drag?

Hi guys,
I have some trouble with the roll bar at the radio plate.
I use the aluminum radio bracket. Now the roll bar breaks after approx 15 minutes due to high vibration.
Does anyone of you have the same problem and what can I do - appart from using the plastic bracket because it will eliminate the vibration because it is weaker.
It doesn't break because I crash.

Serpent definitely got this one right.
Xray RX8 is the other car on my list.
Why would you choose the 977 over the Xray?

Default downstop

Hi guys,
Another question:
I have difficulties to set lower downstop at the rear axle.
If I assemble the ballarm according to the manual I can reach maybe 9mm.
If I want more, for example 7mm to have more weight transfer, I need to screw it more outwards. The result was that the threads of the ballarms were damaged after some time.
Does anyone know if longer piston shafts or ballarms are available?
Maybe even from another car?

Yes, in the latest kits they are included in a separate plastic bag.
2 balllinks for the shocks.

Thanks for the quick reply Djiewie.
Do you have any partner?
I can find on the homepage only two types, #160122 (front) and #160123 (rear).
Also nothing at option parts...

The latest #160123 spares I rec'd from the US importer were the new longer links - no change in part number.
