Default Best Charger for Nitro cars

I'm looking for the best charger for Nitro based cars. I now own a turbo 35bl, leftover from my oval days, but my dilema is that I can't charge my nitro car pack.(5 cells) and my tx batteries (8 cells) properly. Is thier a charger that is made for nitro racers specificly, 1, 5, and 8 cells?

I have the Futaba CR-2000 which works great. It charges TX and RX batteries at the same time, or you can charge TX and a glow starter at the same time.

It works great on the field but it does not charge starter box battery packs.

This is the unit I was looking at. Can you specify/do you have that option on size of pack, or does it recognize how many cells? It looks like this is the unit I am going to be buying after selling the turbo35 and all input is welcome

It does not care the size of pack, but you can specify the amperage. I usually charge my TX and RX at 0.5-0.8 amps and glow started at 1 amp.

It can do I think 0.5-2 amps.

There's always the Triton. It will do anything you want and when Li-Po's start being used as reciver packs and transmitter packs, you won't have to buy another charger.

Right now I use a LRP Comp charger. Works great for everything I charge but the Li-Po.

A lot of high end chargers will do just fine but most will only charge one pack at a time. The ability to charge TX/RX at the same time is handy for nitro.

I use a turbo 30 and it works just fine. set it to 6 cells. the only thing the cell setting does is figure out the cutoff voltage when discharging. i even charge my glow ignitor on it. i use 0.5A for everything and I have no problems with false peaks or anything else.

Gotta go with the Airplane guys on this one. Double Vision By Hanger 9. Charges your recievier pack, Radio, and glow driver all at the same time. No bling here at $60 but works well and I dont have to worry about it getting dirty.

the double vision is the charger I used before the Super brain came out.....but...it doesn't do stick packs....and the amps are adjustable.......if needed, you can throw a quick 2 amp charge into a reciever pack with the super brain.....

I'm ready to buy the unit, I just havn't decided which one. I like the Triton, It looks like the one to go with, but the Futabe cr-2000 also looks like a winner too. Anybody else have any input?
