I wouldn't. It would be either 200mm touring (little more competition, little harder to drive) or 1/8th scale (more speed, better handling). Which leaves me to decide what to do next year: stay with touring or go 1/8. Regardless a new car will be in order.

most probably for the obvious reason, would it be because (1) no variety in brands (2) not many and no one races 235mm at competition level etc..? in a 12month period 235mm will be cheaper than 200mm, why not race somthing that is cheaper and close to what 1/8th is, and alot more fun with thse kool lookin wide bodies and Le Mans bodies and high acceleration and top speeds.

Bigger car need bigger track which = more $ to build & up keep & most small LHS can not or do not want to handle.

My choice to race 200mm touring was originally the initial cost. Now it is the competition I get in the local area as well as refining my driving to become even better racer. As far as cheaper, not really. Keep off the boards and you don't break parts (you can't win races by hitting the boards/cars), thus not very expensive at all.

As far as the 235 being close to 1/8 is true, but if/when I do start running 1/8 I'll be racing with one of the best 1/8 scale racers in the US. Our club has ran the 235 class, but with 1/8 becoming cheaper everyone has either gone to touring or 1/8 by choice.

btw rinkeberg....why didn't you start a new thread instead of posting in a bunch of different touring car threads?? Just curious

We are here just to discuss what and how we like the "MODEL CAR".
There's a big difference with sharing information and quoting prices.
P.S. I'm not telling you to do anything but the way you express your (FREEDOM OF SPEECH) is misleading.

The price of the car will be available soon.

Don't want to start anything negative here, but how was the original post misleading? If people think the yen pricing is great, they can buy directly from Japan. For those who think it's too high then they can wait for the US pricing. Don't see anything inappropriate.
