Hey Mike,

Just wondering - Is the CG on the MTX4 lowered compared to it's predecessor? Just curious because apart from the lowered front and rear bulkheads and fuel tank, the throt servo is not layed down like the RRR. Also, is it still running on the same centax clutch system & clutch bell and gears from the 3? Reason being i have a whole lot spurs & pinions. Any thoughts here?

Thanks.

BTW, i just reserved one unit MTX4 from the local dealer.

Maybe the servo isn't layed down because of balence? I also think that a layed down servo doesn't really make mutch difference and other things can compensate the weight los/gain at that point of the car...

Again, you guys that love to make the post "this car looks like that one" make me laugh. Here is part of a post that I made on another thread a few months back when people were making the same comments about a new car that just came out. Here is what I said then:

Guys like you kill me with the "copying designs" statements. If you really look at it, most of the cars look like the other anyway. If you really break things down, you can only put a drivetrain on a car a handful of ways, mount the engine in only a handful of ways, and put the tank and electronics on in a handful of positions. Unless a company comes out with a radically-designed car that defies convention, all of these cars are going to resemble each other; not many ways around that.

This holds true with the many that keep saying it looks like the Serpent 710 and Kyosho V one RRR WC. My point is, "What's your point?" Unless you qualify your statement with, "They could have moved this here or designed this area a bit different for X reasons", just saying that it looks like car X is pointless. Personally, I am happy about the redesign for easier diff access, moving the tank to dead center of the chassis, and giving us the option of using higher capacity receiver pack batteries. I just feel that this car should have been the MTX-3 instead of the MTX-4.

The throttle servo will have mounts like the MRX-4. So no matter what sevo you run you can mount it as low as possible.

The clutch will be the same.

Yes they are different. The shocks unscrew from the bottom to make rebuilding easier.

mike,
does this mean they will run off the same pinion/spur gears??? so the mtx-4 will have the same gear ratio as the mtx-3?
