Default New V-One S Question

I am presently putting together my first V-ONE S and I have a few questions.
1-Can the baffel in the stock muffler be removed?
2-Eventually I'l be getting a tuned exhaust and an OS .15 CVR with a slide carb but I was wondering if I'd be able to use a pilot shaft or must I use a threaded shaft?Thanks to anyone that can help.

Havoc - you can use pilot shaft but the few ive seen, the owners of the cars say its the most pain-in-the-arse conversion they did and would not recommend it or do it again. They had to source parts from 1/8 scale cars,buggies,trucks etc. Just get a threaded shaft, much easier, straigh in.

Well, results on the winter nats - Pull Start Class;

1. Ron Taranto
2. Scott Parkinson
3. ME!!!

very tough race, held 2nd place for the first 5min until i flamed out (no more go juice ) got pushed to 6th place the slowly worked my way back to 3rd.

it was a 30min final, lap counts were;

1. 121 laps
2. 118 laps
3. 116 laps

cant wait till meca!

Get the K-Factory radio box and open it up, use the bottom half as a template and mark it out with pencil using the original outer mounting hole again. I had some photos posted earlier of the finished product. Biggest thing to watch is that you dont foul the belt or the front bulkhead so do the operation with the car assembled or at the very least with the plate sitting on the posts.. But the answer is yes I can certainly do it if you so require!

Anyone heard from SP Racer? He asked me about 2 weeks ago to pit for him at the winterchamps and I havent heard from him since!....and they start tommorow:eek

gt

:

Never mind, i wont be using a receiver box soon, everything will be mounted on the top plate.

Does anyone know where i can buy a small cut of carbon fibre in sydney?

you can definatly remove the baffle
it will release a lot of power from the engine but i found it better to drill some holes in the baffle... about 5 or 6. That offered alot more all round power

Can you use a silicon rx cover/protector with the carbon upper deck? and would these help protect the receiver that much?
