TC Nitro Advice
So I want to make the switch from EP to Nitro.
Whats a good TC nitro to get?
I had narrowed it down between the NTC3 or the R40 but was open to suggestions.
Also, I wouldn't mind waiting if new cars where on the way (NTC4? New R40?)
Anybody know of if they are coming out with new cars?
Don't want to get a car and 6 months later the newer version comes out.

I doubt they will be making any new cars in a while. Whats the occupation? I mess around, but still got myself an R40, because at the time the NTC3 was unavailable. Honestly I didn't have to do to much tinkering to get it to handle stock. IMO it handles better than a NTC3. Don't worry about that shaft vs belt nonsense. It's neglegible. The NTC3 can still have damaged spur gears with debris. I never had anything stuck in my ride even though I bashed onroad. Just raised the ride height to 9mm and the design of the chassis isn't as open for debris to really get in there. Both cars are good. Just get which one the LHS stocks the most parts for and the one you like.

I ask because I only see it advertised on the HPI Japan site. Also, at some online dealers, the product number is different than what the JP site says.
Where can I get one?

Says who? Who cares if you like serpent? The R40s at my track are spankin MTX-3s and serpents left and right. It just goes to show who's behind the wheel makes a difference. I'm running an R40 with only two upgrades for the car and I can hold my own against others. The R40 is up there with the Mugen and Serpent. So is the NTC3, Ofna, and Tamiya nitro sedan.

put all the top model cars into a hat and do a lucky dip! this is your new wheels. just make sure you can get parts for the car you choose as well.

there were no factory drivers at that race the only "factory driver" you could really say was the australian importer of serpent products, and he finished third behind the kyosho and the HPI R40 (the R40 driver is not a team driver)
