Does anyone run front buggy shocks on their GT/GT2/Conversion?

Also, are there any other shock tower options apart from the standard plastic ones and the Kyosho Metal ones?

Hi,
To day I am picking up a gt2 race spec. I can't wait to get this thing broke in and start running some laps with it.
My question is, what should e the first upgrade I should be considering?

Here are my suggestions;
1) better tires
2) servos
3) add one or 2 ifw330 metallic brake pads to improve braking
4) change front diff fluid to 300k and rear to 30K

the medium tire is a good starting point, and will most recommended for warmer climates ... soft or supersoft afforfd more grip and be more suited for tracks with low grip or lower temperatures ok .... but the medium has a great durability and offers good performance .... like you're new in class gt, you could have a good parameter for a future change of compound ....

thanks bro

I just ran the newer GRP tires in my practice rounds at the Speed World race in Roseville, CA and was very impressed with their performance. I went back to the Sweep 50 EXP for the serious stuff for the A Main though because I've used them more and have a better feel for them.

Bruckner Hobbies has the GRP tires and has good service. (I used 'B' treaded)
I usually get my Sweep Tires through local hobby shop. (check Bruckner or RCBoyz)

SWR is a nicely prepped, smooth surface you should try. It was hot enough I didn't break out the 45 EXP and heat didn't quite take me to the 55 EXP window at race time. Sweeps allowed me to have some great speed runs off the straight. Cars with 'initials.....S...... GT' kicked my Kyosho butt on the corners, tires worked great.

Just to add ... Toss that KE25 motor and get a good .21 buggy motor from nova OS or RB and dont forget the starter box ! Ofna has a lightweight $51 box that is great value ( ofna 10245) !!! The radio is ok for now... I have a GT1 and GT2 race spec... Dragon racing has the CNC rear toe block set for $16 on their eBay store. Another must have. I have gotten their CNC Tranny mounts and front hubs also that are working awesome ! LETS KEEP THE KYOSHO GT NAME ALIVE GUYS !! Lol...

Ok so, I got my gt2 race spec I installed my receiver for my 4pks. I installed my 6 v battery pack. I turned it on to start setting up the radio and my servo's locked up and got really hot to the touch and are now completely locked. Any thoughts ? They are the stock servos that came with it.

Check your radio to see if you need to reverse the servos. If they are no good, Kyosho will warranty them.

As I stated earlier, the first thing I replace on my GT2 was the servos.
