Guy on our forum has been given this to clean up for the owner. Nothing to go on, other than the air filter says Kyosho on it.

Well, it is not a Kyosho Evolva or HPI proceed. It looks 1/10 scale, but I'm guessing the 6 bolt head makes it a .21 1/8 scale formula car. I'm stumped.

6 bolt head, hmm, I thought at first it was a 1/10th copy of a Serpent, I have an old Ofna Colt which is similar- 1/10th 200mm. But the bolted on front wheels make me wonder, the Ofna Colt had quick release wheels all around, and a lot of purple, though its possible they didnt dress up the early versions. I forget if Ofna had a 1/8th Serpent copy?

I would say an old PB 235mm car

I know what it is, it's butt ugly.

Looks a lot like something BMT would do.

I think the unique mounted front shocks are the key to ID'ing the chassis. A quick look on Google shows that BMT had experimented with that design, as did Picco with some versions of the RS600, but I'd love to know which exact model it could be.

The shocks remind me of the BMT

Ive studied a lot of differebnt chassis but not one quite like this. I would also say it could be in the BMT family, but it also has similar elements of the Picco Genesis chassis. I would be curious to know for sure. The rear section looks almost like a Delta car. And the red air filter is Delta.

I know the BMT version and this is not the one. Probably it could be a Picco because it did schare some designs with BMT and had indeerd black shocks.

Yeah, I think it is a Picco. Also, Picco had 6 bolt heads back then so it's probably a Picco motor too.

It looks "home made"to me, look at the way they mounted the batteries, theres no "spot" for it. And the way the header was mounted makes it looks like the person had no idea what they were doing. Could be someone conbined different cars.

I believe the rx pack is supposed to go beside the pipe under the tray. But of course, a 4 cell AA holder wont fit under there. Just because someone put the car together in a wonky way doesn't mean it was designed that way.

Another reason to think it's a Picco, Picco loved black anodized aluminum radio trays. Also, notice the lock nut holding the clutchbell on? That's a classic Picco design there.
