I concur. The .95 and 1.0 are the ones to try with that engine.

Default GT8 Rules..

OK Folks the Rules that we are trying to get passed by ROAR are done and we hope they take a good look at them.

No big news on them... pretty straight up stuff. I think it will include all the manufactures of tires, bodies and chassis...

INS boxes on the carb would be the only thing that is new...
NOW to get ROAR to recognize the class....

I would like thank the committe and ALL of you for your input and patience.

Here are a few IDEAS for a logo for the Class.. Just for fun... Any favorites?
gt8_idea_sketchboard.pdf

Create one in a vector format...Post it.. maybe we can get some stickers made. It may be kind a cool to see a logo and on the cars at the races... and fun for the spectators

Glad to see that this is in process - it's certainly necessary for the class to grow....

Hey Spooky! You and the rest of the bunch gonna make it to the Airtronics Grand Prix next month? We'd love to see the IGT cars run down here. I think you and the rest of guys up there are the only ones brave enough to come out. Heck, I'll even pit for ya again!

Okay, Craig that offer is hard to pass up . You're the best pit guy I've ever had. I am looking at the possibility of coming out. Will I have a class? I don't know if I can get the rest of these guys to go with the Timezone race a couple of weeks later. I'll see what I can do and if I will have a for sure class, I'll take you up on that offer to pit.

Okay, I put in the 1.0 springs and it seems to work okay for now. I was able to tune the motor such that at idle it would stay still but it still nudges forward just a touch but not as bad as it was before where I had to hold the brake firmly.

What is the problem with 1.1mm springs? Why does it eat your clutch so quickly? I'm use to using this motor on my Serpent 966 with the clutch set much tighter at a higher stall speed. Of course that was with a Centax clutch.

That 1.1 spring is not letting the clutch engage fully and it will eat shoes like crazy. If your car is wanting to run off, you may have your idle too high. It shouldn't be doing that.

In the time between taking motor outta my DM1, stripping it down, re-assembling and fitting a new flywheel clutch, I didn't notice the difference in diameter of old to new flywheel:38 to 34 mm.

Became obvious when I couldn't get a bump start happening.

Question is, should I use this light weight FW on a Werks 28 and grind the bump slot on chassis or go back to 38mm FW ??

Got a funny feeling that 38mm would be best but......

Help please.
