Body breathing holes

Hey all

I just got a kyosho drx as my first nitro car. I was wondering where you guys put your breathing holes in your body ?

I Made one in the windshield on same side as the engine about one inch in diameter (make it bigger?) and everytime I put the body on the car it just stalls. How can I make her breath properly with the body on?

Where should I add holes?

More info; I just finished my 2nd tank, it is 8 degrees Celsius

Let me know if you need more information to answer this question.

Thanks for reading.

are you checking that the body is not blocking the air filter or pushing it in?

a 2 inch hole in the windshield in line with engine and 2 inch hole on top of engine head, and cutout rear windshield should be plenty of airflow.

considering it's only 8C degrees I would check that the body is not interfering with the carb or air filter.

No interference with the carb or air filter. It has pretty good clearance form the body.

Did you get it working? If not, check that the stinger clears the body. You should have a hole for the exhaust gases to flow out of the body. Also, the engine could be stalling out by the time you get the body on and pins in place if the engine is rich on low end.

Just looked the car up. Looks like the stinger points downward so that shouldn't be the issue...
