does anyone know the factory tuning settings for the nova .21 that comes with the rtr kit? there is a place for them in the manual, but its a hell of a typo lol. thanks for the help. oh, and for the record.. you guys we're right about every set screw in the drive train. needless to say i'm getting pretty good at tearing down and rebuilding this car.

I copied this off of the Serpent web page:
"Steeringrack option 2 The difference is 2.5 degrees per plate. 1) has most turn in 3) had the least turn in 1) has less on throttle 3) has more on throttle."

So it will have more steering going into a corner, but less on-power steering.

Hope that helps

What changes would you make if the track is slippery? The club we race at is a temporary parking lot kinda deal. We actually alternate locations every month. One track is good with Paolos set up. The other one is a lot smoother and with new commercial construction going on, it was quite slippery this past weekend, especially on power with the rear stepping out. If you were able to carry any speed around corners, it became even looser upon applying power. So what are the steps to gain more traction on looser conditions? Thanks!

Sorry to place a question from my Cobra GTE because seem not much action in electric forum but this is dealing with steering issue so if anyone can input on their experience from Nitro in similar chassis, it will be great:

"After spending million $ on this chassis with additional light weight kit to resolve Steering Servo moving under stress and heat problem from stock and also steering servo hard spring, it seem to resolve that problem.

But somehow it never resolve the on power understeer push this chassis's characteristic out of corner acceleration.
It has great off throttle turn in steering. Is this normal in Serpent's thinking in design which cause by factory accessive 12 degree Caster??
I wonder if anyone here feel same on track condition?
Now I ordered 10 Degree C-Hub to see if make a different."

So, who knows to what option does the RTR steering rack is equivalent, 1, 2 or 3...the kit comes with option 3, but the RTR doesn´t specify.

I took a look at the Serpent site and from the stock set-up sheet the rack is the #3, it is just stamped instead of machined.

I have been having problems with my 2 speed transmission on my serpent gt. Every time i give it gas specially when i lean the engine to get more RPMs it suddenly sounds like one of the gears goes out then i push the break and it engages again. I have replaced the one way bearing and went with larger gears and it keeps doing the same thing. Has anyone had that problem and how could i fix it. Thank you.

When you replaced the one way what condition was the shaft in - still have my original one way and I'm on my third shaft - I replace when I see the first signs of pitting.

Alpha Body question: how are most of you that are using this body, mounting the wing? Mounting it back, or forward and what are you trimming it down to ? ....thankx

Getting prepped for TZGP next week. Can't wait.

Anyone on here going to this race? So far , I know of only 3 Cobra 's . Myself, one other local guy and another that just moved up from California and has been to a couple local races this summer.
