I misread instructions first time and did 5 1/2 turns. What it is for real is 5 x 1/2 turns.............so I prolly know what's bugging you here. Could be wrong as well !!

Think the original poster may be referring to the M3 set screws that load the balance pucks - I'm so used to building 966/977 two speeds didn't even notice that there isn't even a reference to them in the Cobra instuctions , but typically the screws are tightened until you just start to lift the shoes off the hub.

On his cobra gt 4 races and 4 times busting the 1st gear spur. Any tip on this ?, it seems to have some play when mounted.

Thanks

Gear mesh problem not tight enough or flexing. I make them as tight as I can but free. Never have issues.

Lock tight the engine screws. The torque motors will vibrate them out...When in doubt lots o lock tight!!

EVO 13, It depends on the size of the track. But in our track the stock 45/19 2nd gear is more than enough. Im using the short double bended manifold 41019 and the 2052 pipe. This setup paired with a Murnan Virtus is just crazy fast.
