They do have a upgrade metal disc with metalic pads but it is currently on back order. Look up brakes for the 811 on ebay and you should find some.

My track has some hard braking zones and the fiber discs have held up great with no apparent wear or fading when hot. A bit harder to modulate than the metal discs but no big deal.

Car was fast out of the box, really pleased with it. Changing bars and some other small details to get it to change direction faster, but default setup was good enough to post very competitive lap times.

I ran the fibre disc in Peru and Puerto Rico. Weather was hot in both cases and the brakes worked fine for me. They do fade a little bit but they stay consistent after that initial fade. I have to say that i don't abuse the brake while i am driving. I have seeing people melt the brakes and the brake/ 2 speed holders... So i guess it depends on your driving style.

I did switch to the metal discs for the Race in Texas and the brake effect is better. I'm testing the allu center shaft/2 speed holder and they work great for me

You can check A Main, Absolute Hobbyz or EBAY for those parts

Check also our website. I think they will be back in stock soon

Thanks for the info Paolo. I'm with you anyway.......what brakes !! Just don't want no melted down wads of plastic gumming up the works.

Build Question: Bag 3 - 15A shows 2 screws going up in the arms !!

Should these be screwed in from the top ?? (for droop I suppose)

Also, the bag has 2 - 4mm x 12mm bolts. Are these just wrong, or what ?

Jacko

Yes, you screw them in from the bottom but they actually open on the other side (2mm wrench). So when you are doing the setup, you adjust the downstops from the top.
