I did measure the set coming with the GT8LE kit and got the following results:

front: 20 lb/inch, length: 37.5 mm (unloaded) ; rear: 16.8 lb/inch, length: 48 mm (unloaded)

@ MantisWorx: Can you please tell me the unloaded length of the Setpent springs.

What diameter of swaybars you are using in your current setup ?
This is great information!! it now makes sense that the stock springs are too soft which is what i suspected.

The Serpent length is 1.5"

Serpent Rear:
Stock RED=18lbs
purple=21lbs

Stock front yellow=29lbs
white=31.5
silver=34.5
black=37.5

Currently i am running stock sway bars but have the optional in my box. Up until now i was running the stock soft springs so had to use the thick stock ones all the way around . Now that i have spring options I may be able to soften the bars up especially in the front, which is the thickest available bar, actually both of them are the thickest and the front is thinner than the rear.

Found the following list for the Serpent springs:

600597 Spring Fr/Rr Red 811GT 18lbs (2)
600598 Spring Fr/Rr Purple 811GT 21lbs (2)
600599 Spring Fr/Rr Yellow 811GT 29lbs (2)
600600 Spring Fr/Rr White 811GT 31.5lbs (2)
600601 Spring Fr/Rr Silver 811GT 34.5lbs (2)
600602 Spring Fr/Rr Black 811GT 37lbs (2)

Probably you need to loock at the value of the siver one in yours.

Thanks for measuring the length, that helps.

Hi all, what is the race ready, dry weight for the Team C? It's pretty hard to get the DM1s below 3700 gms without spending a fair chunk of money. Thanks.

I put titanium turnbuckles on my car and a few 4mm alloy screws on the top plate and it came in at just over the 3500. Easy to get that car at race weight.

Ready for Homestead!!

The prototype shock towers with Serpent springs are the way to go! Stiffer springs completely changed the car , it is so nimble now and turns on a dime. I also dramatically changed the upper camber links and am very happy with the results, will probably offer a kit once this race is over with. One thing i did discover after setting the car up on the station is that with the rear toe spacers in the middle the car has 7* of toe in???? I had to modify the spacers to go in as far as possible and still could only get down to 3.5*, with the chassis being so long 2* would probably be optimal.

Last time out i tested:
custom front shock towers front shock mounts are 3mm taller to accommodate the Serpent springs
Custom rear shock towers, shock mount points are 100mm shorter to accommodate short springs and short shocks (fronts all the way around)
3x1.6mm shock pistons with 1000w oil
+1mm hexs in front and +2 rear
Before, the car was fast but never planted and always rotating especially on exit, this makes it hard to drive in traffic or in a battle so my goal was to increase grip on both ends and the combination works!
